Privacy Policy

Fabelia is a listening and reading app for short retellings of public-domain stories. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698) and the EU GDPR.

In short

Fabelia collects only the minimum data needed to run your account and save your progress.

Data collected: your email address, chosen language and age band, story progress, question answers, purchase history.
A device-specific identifier is stored to prevent credit abuse — it is not used for advertising or tracking.
Your data is never shared with third parties for marketing; the app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
Younger-reader accounts get no notifications; no behavioural data is processed for them.
When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently erased.

Who we are

The data controller is Volkan Eren, a sole proprietor registered in Türkiye (tax office: Düden), operating the Fabelia app and the getfabelia.com website. Contact: info@getfabelia.com.

What we collect

Account: Your email address, and a password stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store the password itself. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
Profile: The interface language you choose and your reading level (younger reader or adult reader).
Learning activity: Which stories you have opened and how far through each one you are (as a percentage, per language), your answers to the after-story questions, which stories you have unlocked, and your credit balance and credit history.
Purchases: Your subscription status and a record of credit-pack purchases. Payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — Fabelia receives a validated receipt to unlock your purchase and never receives your card number or billing details.
Preferences: Settings such as text size, playback speed, sound level, and (for adult accounts) notification preferences.
Abuse prevention: A device-specific identifier is stored and linked to your account so the same device cannot be used to farm free daily credits across many accounts. It is used only for this security purpose — never for advertising, analytics or tracking — and is removed when you delete your account.
Technical logs: Our backend provider (Supabase) keeps standard server logs — including IP address and timestamps — for a short period, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no advertising at all.
No third-party analytics or behaviour-tracking SDKs in the app.
No access to your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
No selling or sharing of your data for marketing, ever.
The getfabelia.com website sets no cookies and runs no trackers.

Why we use it

To create and run your account and sign you in.
To keep your place in a story and show your progress and question history.
To operate the credit and subscription system and unlock what you buy.
To remember your settings across devices.
To keep the service secure and investigate abuse.

Under GDPR terms, our legal bases are performance of a contract (running the app you signed up for) and legitimate interests (security). Where consent is required — for example device notifications on adult accounts — we ask for it separately and you can withdraw it at any time.

Younger-reader accounts

Accounts set to the younger-reader level are treated as children's accounts:

They never receive notifications.
No analytics, no advertising, no profiling — none of it, regardless of age band, but especially here.
The only data held is the minimum needed to run the app: the account email (provided by the parent or account holder), language, reading level, and reading progress.
Every purchase attempt is blocked by a parental gate — a freshly generated arithmetic question a young child cannot pass.

This follows KVKK, GDPR provisions on children, Apple's Kids and Family guidelines, and Google Play's Families policy. If you believe a child has created an account without a parent's involvement, email us and we will delete it.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors, each bound to handle data only on our instructions:

Supabase: Database, authentication, file storage and backend hosting for the app. Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt).
Apple App Store & Google Play: Payment processing and purchase validation for subscriptions and credit packs.
Vercel: Hosting for the getfabelia.com marketing site only. It holds no user account data.

Story narration was produced ahead of time using a text-to-speech service; this is pre-recorded audio and no user data is sent anywhere when you press play. We may disclose data if required by a lawful order from a competent authority.

International transfers

Your app data is stored in the EU. Apple and Google may process payment data in their own regions under their standard terms. Where data leaves Türkiye or the EEA, it is covered by the providers' standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data: kept while your account is active.
Deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete) triggers permanent erasure of your data, completed within 30 days.
Offline downloads are stored encrypted on your own device and are removed when your subscription ends or you uninstall the app — they are never on our servers.
Server security logs are kept only briefly by our provider.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Deletion is available directly in the app; for anything else, email info@getfabelia.com and we will respond within 30 days. Under KVKK you also have the right to apply to the Turkish Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu); under GDPR, to your local supervisory authority.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. The database enforces row-level security so your data is only reachable by your account. Offline files on your device are encrypted with a key held in your device's secure storage.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data — for example if we later add opt-in analytics for adult accounts — we will update this page and change the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.

Özet

Fabelia, hesabını çalıştırmak ve ilerlemeni kaydetmek için gereken en az veriyi toplar.

Toplanan veriler: e-posta adresin, seçtiğin dil ve yaş bandı, hikâye ilerlemen, soru cevapların, satın alma geçmişin.
Kredi kötüye kullanımını önlemek için cihazına özel bir kimlik saklanır — reklam veya takip için kullanılmaz.
Verilerin üçüncü taraflarla pazarlama amacıyla asla paylaşılmaz; uygulamada reklam/izleme SDK'sı yoktur.
Küçük okuyucu hesaplarına bildirim gönderilmez; bu hesaplar için davranışsal veri işlenmez.
Hesabını sildiğinde tüm kişisel verilerin kalıcı olarak silinir.

Topladığımız veriler

Hesap: E-posta adresiniz ve yalnızca tuzlanmış özet (hash) olarak saklanan parolanız — parolanın kendisini hiçbir zaman görmez veya saklamayız. Kimlik doğrulama Supabase üzerinden yapılır.
Profil: Seçtiğiniz arayüz dili ve okuma seviyeniz (küçük okuyucu veya yetişkin okuyucu).
Öğrenme etkinliği: Hangi hikâyeleri açtığınız ve her birinde ne kadar ilerlediğiniz (dil bazında, yüzde olarak), hikâye sonrası sorulara verdiğiniz cevaplar, açtığınız hikâyeler, kredi bakiyeniz ve kredi geçmişiniz.
Satın almalar: Abonelik durumunuz ve kredi paketi satın alma kayıtlarınız. Ödemeler tamamen Apple App Store veya Google Play tarafından işlenir — Fabelia yalnızca satın almanızı açmak için doğrulanmış bir makbuz alır; kart numaranızı veya fatura bilgilerinizi asla almaz.
Tercihler: Yazı boyutu, oynatma hızı, ses seviyesi ve (yetişkin hesaplarda) bildirim tercihleri gibi ayarlar.
Kötüye kullanım önleme: Aynı cihazın çok sayıda hesapla ücretsiz günlük kredi biriktirmek için kullanılmaması amacıyla cihaza özel bir kimlik saklanır ve hesabınıza bağlanır. Yalnızca bu güvenlik amacıyla kullanılır — reklam, analitik veya takip için asla — ve hesabınızı sildiğinizde kaldırılır.
Teknik kayıtlar: Altyapı sağlayıcımız (Supabase), hizmeti güvende tutmak ve kötüye kullanımı önlemek için kısa süreli standart sunucu kayıtları (IP adresi ve zaman damgaları dâhil) tutar.

Toplamadığımız veriler

Reklam kimliği yok, reklam ağı yok, hiç reklam yok.
Uygulamada üçüncü taraf analitik veya davranış takibi SDK'sı yok.
Rehberinize, fotoğraflarınıza, konumunuza veya mikrofonunuza erişim yok.
Verilerinizin pazarlama için satılması veya paylaşılması asla söz konusu değil.
getfabelia.com sitesi çerez kullanmaz, hiçbir izleyici çalıştırmaz.

Kredi ve abonelik sistemini işletmek, satın aldığınızı açmak.

GDPR kapsamında hukuki dayanaklarımız sözleşmenin ifası (kaydolduğunuz uygulamayı çalıştırmak) ve meşru menfaattir (güvenlik). Rıza gereken durumlarda — örneğin yetişkin hesaplarda cihaz bildirimleri — ayrıca sorarız ve dilediğiniz zaman geri çekebilirsiniz.

Küçük okuyucu hesapları

Küçük okuyucu seviyesine ayarlı hesaplar çocuk hesabı olarak ele alınır:

Hiçbir zaman bildirim almaz.
Analitik yok, reklam yok, profil çıkarma yok — yaş bandından bağımsız olarak hiçbiri, özellikle burada.
Tutulan tek veri uygulamayı çalıştırmak için gereken asgari veridir: hesap e-postası (ebeveyn veya hesap sahibi tarafından verilir), dil, okuma seviyesi ve okuma ilerlemesi.
Her satın alma denemesi ebeveyn kapısıyla engellenir — küçük bir çocuğun geçemeyeceği, her seferinde yeniden üretilen bir aritmetik soru.

Bu; KVKK'yı, GDPR'ın çocuklara ilişkin hükümlerini, Apple'ın Kids/Family kurallarını ve Google Play Families politikasını izler. Bir çocuğun ebeveyn katılımı olmadan hesap açtığını düşünüyorsanız bize yazın, sileriz.

Kimlerle paylaşıyoruz

Her biri verileri yalnızca talimatlarımızla işlemekle yükümlü az sayıda hizmet sağlayıcı kullanırız:

Supabase: Uygulama için veritabanı, kimlik doğrulama, dosya depolama ve arka uç barındırma. Veriler Avrupa Birliği'ndeki sunucularda (Frankfurt) saklanır.
Apple App Store & Google Play: Abonelik ve kredi paketleri için ödeme işleme ve satın alma doğrulama.
Vercel: Yalnızca getfabelia.com tanıtım sitesinin barındırılması. Kullanıcı hesap verisi tutmaz.

Hikâye seslendirmeleri önceden bir metin-okuma hizmetiyle üretildi; bu kayıtlı sestir ve oynat'a bastığınızda hiçbir kullanıcı verisi bir yere gönderilmez. Yetkili bir makamın hukuka uygun talebi hâlinde veri paylaşabiliriz.

Yurt dışına aktarım

Uygulama verileriniz AB'de saklanır. Apple ve Google, ödeme verilerini kendi bölgelerinde kendi standart şartlarına göre işleyebilir. Verinin Türkiye veya AEA dışına çıktığı yerlerde, sağlayıcıların standart sözleşme hükümleri geçerlidir.

Ne kadar süre saklıyoruz

Hesap ve öğrenme verileri: hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece.
Hesabınızı silmek (Ayarlar → Hesap → Sil) verilerinizin kalıcı olarak silinmesini başlatır; 30 gün içinde tamamlanır.
Çevrimdışı indirmeler kendi cihazınızda şifreli tutulur; aboneliğiniz bitince veya uygulamayı kaldırınca silinir — sunucularımızda asla bulunmaz.
Sunucu güvenlik kayıtları sağlayıcımız tarafından yalnızca kısa süre tutulur.

Haklarınız

Verilerinize erişebilir, düzeltebilir, dışa aktarabilir veya silebilirsiniz. Silme doğrudan uygulamada mevcuttur; diğer talepler için info@getfabelia.com adresine yazın, 30 gün içinde yanıtlarız. KVKK uyarınca Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu'na, GDPR uyarınca yerel denetim makamınıza başvurma hakkınız da vardır.

Güvenlik

Tüm trafik HTTPS ile şifrelenir. Veritabanı satır düzeyinde güvenlik uygular; verileriniz yalnızca kendi hesabınızdan erişilebilir. Cihazınızdaki çevrimdışı dosyalar, cihazınızın güvenli deposunda tutulan bir anahtarla şifrelenir.

Bu politikadaki değişiklikler

Veriyi ele alış şeklimizi değiştirirsek — örneğin ileride yetişkin hesapları için isteğe bağlı analitik eklersek — bu sayfayı günceller ve yukarıdaki tarihi değiştiririz. Önemli değişiklikler uygulama içinde duyurulur.
